The Palm Court

The Plaza's majestic interiors are a sight to behold. Not my style personally, but the space is quite breathtaking.
Cocktail
I haven't the foggiest idea what this wild-looking cocktail for two was - obviously it had coconut and mint. I know we enjoyed it, and it made a nice start to our tea lunch.
Tea Service
Each diner receives their own generous pot of tea, chosen from a long list of selections which were all quite esoteric to a non-tea drinker such as myself. I couldn't tell you in retrospect what type of tea this was, but again it was enjoyable.
Scones
Devonshire Cream, Meyer Lemon Curd, Raspberry Preserves
The trademark scones were delicious, as were the trio of accompaniments.
Sandwiches & Savories
Scottish Smoked Salmon, Paprika Crème Fraîche, Pumpernickel
Deviled Egg Salad, Dill Pickle Relish, White Bread
English Cucumber, Pickled Red Onion Cream Cheese, Rye Bread
Prosciutto Cotto, Gruyère, Dijon, Ficelle Baguette
Roasted Beef Rib Eye, Caraway Mayonnaise, Horseradish, Brioche Bun
Pastries & Sweets
Plaza Chocolate Cake
Raspberry Tart
Mini S'More
Mini Cheesecake
Green Apple Macaron
Éclaire
Parfait
While the savory bites were all very good, some of the desserts held up better than others. Still, it was a really novel and satisfying meal. The price is intense, as a substantial amount of what you're paying for is the room - still, I'm glad we got to experience it at least once!
